ABSTRACT
To this point, no singular model has been developed to fully explain how the musculoskeletal system functions innately; how an injury in one part affects the entire musculoskeletal system. Although little understood, our body has a structural framework, a mechanism to provide motion, and a system, called proprioception, that determines and coordinates that motion. The purpose of Serola Theory is to discuss the cranio-sacral (CS) system as the coordinator through which the musculoskeletal systems functions and identify innate responses to injury. As a first step in gaining understanding, this study evaluates the sacroiliac joint lesion's effecton the musculoskeletal system.
Key Words: sacroliliac, cranio-sacral, craniosacral, proprioception, nutation.
